We at futekiya are pleased to launch our newest feature: a point system! If you’ve shopped in Japan or on any Japanese e-commerce site, you might already be familiar with this concept. Point systems are a fixture of Japanese retail culture, after all.
Generally, a point system is like a loyalty and rewards program, in which shoppers earn a certain number of points per purchase. They can then use their points to pay for purchases or exchange for prizes or perks. Various shops and platforms have their own different rules for their point systems, so find out how the futekiya point system works in this primer!
About futekiya’s Point System
For our point system, 100 points is equivalent to approximately US$1. You can check your balance by going to your dashboard and clicking on My Points.
As we are not a retail platform, our point system works differently from others that you may have heard of, in that the only surefire way to gain more points is to purchase points on our website.
If you’re lucky, though, you might be able to win points. We’re planning to hold some giveaways in the future, so keep your eyes peeled!
For now, read on to the very end for one way you can gain some bonus points.
What Can I Do with My Points?
You can spend your points on gift codes, which in turn can be used to purchase subscriptions. In other words, if you want to treat yourself or your friends to a subscription, points can come in handy!
How Do I Use My Points?
To purchase a gift code, first, select the library you wish to use your points on: Manga Planet or futekiya.
Then, simply click on Buy Gift Code.
Next, select your preferred gift code plan.
Choose Pay with Points as your payment method. As long as you have enough points for your preferred gift code, you can pay with points.
After clicking on Pay with Points, you’ll be able to see how many points are required to purchase your preferred gift-code plan, as well as your balance. As mentioned above, you can check your balance beforehand by clicking on My Points, but your balance will be displayed as a reminder before you confirm your purchase.
Finally, complete your purchase by clicking on Use my points — and that’s it!
Points Launch Celebration Campaign
In celebration of the launch of our newest feature, we’re giving away points to those who sign up for three-, six-, or twelve-month plans. This means that if you’re a free user of Manga Planet or futekiya, or are subscribed to a one-week or one-month plan, now’s a good time for you to sign up for a long-term plan!
Here’s a breakdown of how much each plan costs, and how many bonus points you’ll get:
