futekiya Community Survey #3: Seme and Uke Part 1

Do you use the terms “seme” and “uke”?

futekiya is back with a Community Survey: Seme and Uke

For those who are unfamiliar with us, we are a Boys’ Love (BL) manga subscription platform as well as a blog about BL culture, news, and more.

Over the past couple of months, we have posted a new survey asking fans around the world about how they read, feel, and view BL manga and BL culture. These surveys will be open for a week, and the following week we will post the results here at the futekiya blog.

These surveys do not require any personal information beyond your age and country of residence. Also, we ask that only fans over the age of 18 respond.

Top and Bottom? Seme and Uke?

In this survey, we are asking BL fans about their knowledge and usage of the terms “seme” and “uke.” This is the first part of a series of surveys on this topic. While in Japan these words have a history and meaning, we would like to see how BL fans around the world use these “seme” and “uke.”
