Hello from futekiya!
We are the Boys’ Love (BL) manga subscription platform as well as a blog about BL culture, news, and more. Every now and then, we post a new survey asking fans around the world about how they read, feel, and view BL manga and BL culture. These surveys will be open for a week and the following week we will post the results here at the futekiya blog.
These surveys do not require any personal information beyond your age and country of residence. Also, we ask that only fans over the age of 18 respond.
Fujoshi, fudanshi, and fujin
This time, we are asking BL fans about how they feel about “fujoshi,” “fudanshi,” and/or “fujin.” In Japan, these terms have a particular meaning. But, outside of Japan, they appear to also be used by BL readers around the world. For this survey, we want to ask a few questions about how BL fans feel and use these works. We also understand some may have strong feelings about the usage of fujoshi, fudanshi, and fujin. With this survey, we want to start a respectful conversation about BL culture outside of Japan.
